Asian rubber futures ended mostly lower Monday, with losses recorded in Tokyo and Shanghai market prices.
Trading was thin after the Christmas holiday weekend, with many Asian-Pacific financial markets closed at the start of the week.
Benchmark rubber for June delivery on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange ended down 10.7 yen at Y255.5 ($2.18) a kilogram.
The most-active rubber contract on the Shanghai futures exchange for May delivery fell 651 yuan to settle at CNY18,000($2,590) a metric ton.
The Singapore Exchange was closed Monday.
