PARIS--French cosmetics giant L'Oreal SA (OR.FR) on Tuesday said it invested "a few million euros" in a fund launched by venture-capital firm Partech Ventures.

L'Oreal's investment is part of a strategy to put money in artificial intelligence and other technology tools to predict consumers demands and needs.

The French company didn't specify the amount it invested in Partech Ventures' new fund.
