FRANKFURT--Lending to households and firms in the eurozone picked up in November, data from the European Central Bank showed Thursday.
Lending to households grew by 1.9% on the year in November versus 1.8% in the previous month. Loans to firms grew by 2.2% in November versus 2.1% in October, the ECB said.
The central bank's broad money supply indicator M3 grew by 4.8% in November compared with 4.4% in the previous month. Analysts polled by The Wall Street Journal had expected growth of 4.5%.
