Arab Tunisian Bank became the first Tunisian bank to receive the ISO 27001 certification for its ebanking and mobile banking services, in March. The certification covers two products: the ATBNET Internet banking website and the ATB mobile application. These platforms allow customers to access a wide range of services remotely, such as account consultation, loan simulations and money transfers.

“With this certification, our goal is to preserve the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information. Those three pillars guarantee an optimal level of data security for the customer to feel confident while using new products,” says Chokri Neji, head of information systems security at ATB.
This international distinction, which assesses the quality of an institution’s information security management system worldwide, reinforces ATB’s strategic positioning as the country’s leading bank in terms of innovation and fintech. “This development is another sign of confidence in the reliability of our systems,” says Mohamed Ferid Ben Tanfous, the bank’s director.
