BEIJING--China's exports fell 3.2% in October from a year earlier in yuan terms, following a decline of 5.6% in September, official data showed Tuesday.

Imports in October rose 3.2% in yuan terms from a year earlier, compared with a 2.2 % increase in September, the General Administration of Customs said.

The country's trade surplus widened last month to 325.25 billion yuan ($48.00 billion) from 278.35 billion yuan in September.
